Four different marques entered for Sports Prototype Open so far

1st March 2020

Last month. we announced our Sports Prototype Open to provide a new home for competitors from the recently closed BRSCC Open Sportscar Series (OSS).  Since then, we have received confirmed entries representing four different former OSS marques: MCR, CTR, Juno and Radical.

Welsh sportscar manufacturer, MCR, has a long track record of success in the Sports 2000 Championship. Their turbo-charged version (the MCR Sport) has been developed to become an OSS race winner. They have committed two entries for the full UK Sports Prototype Open season for OSS champion Patrick Sherrington and MCR founder Clive Hayes. They will be joined at Donington at Easter by the unique CTR 01a, which will be shared by Matthew and Richard Chamberlain. Martin Heath will bring his Juno back to the grid at Donington and will also be joined by Bikesports regular Robert Rees. He's one of several 750MC Bikesports or MSV Radical Challenge entrants expected to join the Open ahead of their respective championships' Donington rounds.

Our innovative capped balance of performance means these cars will run at a similar pace to the fastest cars in our BARC Radical SR3 Trophy, promoting close and varied racing throughout the field, whilst competing for their own class awards.  Many of our 2019 SR3 Trophy teams are offering race hire packages including RAW, Breakell and Valour.
