The Zeo Prototype Series and Sports Prototype Cup have announced they will work together to create a blue-riband event at Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit on June 19th.
The Zeo Prototype Series, launched this year, will make its GP circuit debut after seeing strong demand for its multi-class series. The event will be a showpiece event in its 2022 calendar on U.K. circuits.
The Sports Prototype Cup, featuring the Revolution A-One and Radical SR3 Trophy classes, will line up at the Silverstone double-header as part of a ten round series that will visit five European Grand Prix circuits. Zeo Prototype Series coordinator Grace Williams said: ‘This collaboration allows us to target a grid of over forty cars, which would be the biggest and most varied grid of prototypes seen on Silverstone GP for a while. These high-downforce cars suit the fast and flowing Silverstone circuit and promises fans and drivers a spectacular pair of races’
Sports Prototype Cup coordinator James Bailey added: ‘Every one of our 2022 races will be on a current European F1 circuit. The Zeo team has done a brilliant job in reigniting interest in U.K. prototype racing and we’re thrilled to be bringing two of our classes to their flagship event.”
